Spinach Dip

Spinach Dip

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese

  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder (not garlic salt)

  • 1/4 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese

  • 1 tbsp fresh grated Romano cheese

  • 1 tbsp (rounded) finely chopped sweet red pepper

  • 1 green onion (scallion) white and green finely chopped

  • 1/2 package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry

  • 1/2 cup grated medium cheddar

  • pinch of cayenne pepper

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400F
  • Mix first 4 ingredients with a mixer until soft and well mixed.
  • Add next two ingredients and mix to incorporate
  • Add spinach and mix on low until just incorporated.
  • Put mixture in an oven safe dish
  • Top with cayenne and cheddar cheese
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes or until bubbling around the edges
  • Remove from the oven and let set for 5-7 minutes
  • Serve with deep fried or baked pita wedges and/or tortilla chips
  • To make wedges use Greek style pitas and bake at 400F for 5 minutes
