1 c. butter or hard margarine, softened
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 tbsp. dark corn syrup
1/2 c. mild molasses
3 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
- Coating
1/4 c. granulated sugar
Directions
- Turn the oven on to 375 F.
- Mix the first 5 ingredients on low to medium speed until smooth.
- Add the next 6 ingredients and stir until moistened.
- Roll into 1 1/2 inch balls and coat in granulated sugar.
- Place 2 cm apart on a cookie sheet and bake for 12 to 14 minutes. Let cool for 2 mins before removing them from the cookie sheet.
Notes
- Be sure not to overcook!!
