The best chocolate brownies. Top them with the Chocolate Brownie Frosting.

Ingredients

  • 4 bars (4 oz.) HERSHEY’s Unsweetened Baking Chocolate, broken into pieces

  • 3/4 c. butter or margarine

  • 2 c. sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

  • 1 c. all-purpose flour

  • 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

  • Preheat oven at 350F. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2 in. pan.
  • Place the chocolate and butter in a microwave safe bowl, and microwave on high (100%) for 1.5 to 2 minutes or until chocolate is melted.
  • Add sugar and stir with a spoon until blended. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well. Add flour and nuts if desired, stirring until blended. Then spread into the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the pan and ice with frosting.
