minutesThis is what we use to get perfect hard boiled eggs that peel easily every time. If you prefer your eggs a little less cooked of course you can reduce the times to 3 minutes pressure and 3 minutes release but keep the ice bath until the eggs are fully cooled.
Ingredients
1 dozen large eggs
2 cups of water
Directions
- Add water to insta pot
- Put in a steam basket or the wire rack to hold the eggs above the water.
- Add eggs.
- Put the lid on and put the vent to sealed position.
- Set the pot to 5 minutes – pressure cook – high and let it start.
- While the eggs are cooking prepare the ice bath by some ice and water to a bowl so that the eggs will be covered when added.
- When the pressure cook time is up, wait 5 additional minutes before releasing the pressure.
- Release the remaining pressure on the pot.
- Move the eggs into the ice bath until they are fully cooled.
- Store the eggs in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
